- If you've stored that unused network device (router, ATA adapter etc...) and you can't remember what the IP address was to administer it via web browser. No problem! While I'm sure there are a million ways to discover what the IP address was, this one is free of charge! And if you've got Linux installed, particularily Ubuntu Linux or some debian distro it's even easier.
SOLUTION: (Install and use netdiscover)
- Open up a Terminal window in Gnome or KDE and simply type in the command as described in the video.
**note** If you get the message "The program 'netdiscover' is currently not installed." simply enter "sudo apt-get install netdiscover" in the terminal window to install the program, then try it out as described in the video example.
